Our Seminarians in 2017

It is my honour to inform you that four new men have joined our five seminarians in the Diocese of Lismore in 2017. Deacon Vitalis Nyongesa continues his ministry as deacon in the parish of Ballina. Pope Francis appoints Fr Gregory Homeming O.C. D. as the sixth Bishop of Lismore

On 20th December 2016, Pope Francis accepted the resignation of Bishop Geoffrey Jarrett and appointed Fr Gregory Homeming, a priest of the Order of Discalced Carmelite, as the new Bishop of the Diocese of Lismore. WYD 2016 Lismore Diocese Pilgrimage

The 31st World Youth Day (WYD) was held in Krakow, Poland from July 25-31. It was celebrated with the theme: “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy,” (Matthew 5:7).
